Science

Before each topic, you will see a number which refers to
Learning Standards/Outcomes as written in the curriculum of
the State of Illinois. 

As an example, K.11.02 refers to:  K refers Kindergarten; 11 refers
to State Standard/Goal 11; and .02 refers to the second point
under Standard/Goal 11.

Please note that the State of Illinois lists three goals -- State Goal
11-12-13 -- for the Science Curriculum:

STATE OF ILLINOIS GOALS IN SCIENCE

State Goal 11:   Understand the processes of scientific inquiry and technological design to Investigate questions, conduct experiments, and solve problems.
State Goal 12:  Understand fundamental concepts, principles, and interconnections of the life, physical, and earth and space sciences.
State Goal 13:  Understand the relationships among science, technology, and society in historical and contemporary contexts.
