Academic Success

We successfully help your children to reach their full academic potential.

  • We provide hands-on and student-centered teaching to help your child succeed academically. We take your child’s academic success very seriously and have a tremendous track record of having our graduates attend and succeed at the best selective high schools in Chicago.
  • Our class sizes are between 20 and 26 students per class, allowing our experienced teaching staff to work closely to help each individual student succeed. Our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms each have a full-time teaching assistant to provide additional individualized attention to our younger students.
  • Our Preschool program participates in the Illinois State Pre School for All Program; Creative Curriculum; and is an Early Ready First site sponsored by a grant from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
  • Our staff provides differentiated instruction designed to meet the needs of individual students. Our teachers are currently involved in an on-going professional development program sponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Teachers explore the latest instructional strategies proven effective in teaching, in accordance with state standards, and in raising standardized test skills. All teachers continually seek and participate in professional development programs based on their individual teaching areas of concentration.
  • To meet student needs, we offer a number of tutoring opportunities and our students have access to Title I services.
  • Our teaching staff has created a number of hands-on learning opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge and learning particularly in science.
  • Our academic program includes not only the base subjects of reading, math, science and social studies, but also a full range of special instruction in music, computer, physical education, and religion etc. The teachers follow the curriculum designed by the Archdiocese of Chicago in all subject areas. This curriculum is aligned with Illinois State Standards.
Testimonial:

“We believe in teaching our students with a scaffolding approach as students move on to upper grades. Just because they leave our classroom, does not mean they leave us. The teachers all work together to create a well-rounded individual and prepare the students for the following school year. We all have a personal and ongoing connection with our students.”
- Ms. Leszcewicz, 2nd Grade
