Gallagher Scholars Visit Gallagher Insurance CompanyThe Gallagher Scholars is a renewable scholarship awarded through Big Shoulders Fund. Our 8th grade students have been grateful to be a part of the Gallagher Scholars program throughout their time at PJPII.
Gallagher Scholars include: Christian Galka, Daniel Ayala, Samantha Furlan, Ana Munoz, Cecilia Vazquez.
7th & 8th Grade Attend 1st Annual Youth Anti-Violence Summit at UICOn Monday May 24th, PJPII 7th & 8th Graders were invited to attend the Youth Anti-Violence Summit hosted by the Brighton Park Neighborhood Council at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Students from the Brighton Park community schools came together to discuss violence prevention in the neighborhood with the help of knowledgeable professionals in the field. The event was a huge success thanks to the planning of a leadership team from the different schools that attended. PJPII had 7 very involved members on the youth leadership team: Ana Muñoz, Yerania Venegas, Alyssa Guzman, Christian Galka, Rogelio Dueñas, Megan Dearden, and Carlos Muñoz.
