High School Preparation

We prepare your children for success at selective Catholic and magnet high schools.

• Our graduates attend the best Catholic and selective public schools in Chicago, including Mother McAuley, De la Salle High School, St. Rita, St. Laurence, Queen of Peace, Cristo Rey, Maria and Marist. Additionally, we have sent a selective number of students to Whitney Young over the past 10 years. Each year a number of our graduates receive high school scholarships such as the Daniel Murphy Award. We are proud to report that 100% of our graduates move onto high school.
• Our teachers are eager to assist students in the completion of scholarship applications and provide detailed references whenever possible.
• Attending a Catholic or Magnet high school is critically important – 97% of Catholic high school students graduate from high school, while only 63% of minority public high school students graduate. (Source: Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago)
• Graduates often come back to our school and share their high school experience. Not only does this continue our relationship with the students, but graduates overwhelmingly share how well prepared they are for the challenges of high school, which is backed up by the grades and honors they receive at the high school level. A graduate from the class of 2006 was recently awarded the Evans Scholarship to the University of Illinois, a scholarship that includes full tuition, room and board.
